It's Teddy Bear Time!

Ever since I was little I've always had a weakness for Teddy Bears. They still bring a smile to my face when I'm down and if I had my way the house would be filled with them!

The one in this photo is a Dakin Teddy Bear, which I'm told is a good thing in the collectible world - I just think he is simply adorable!

I'm also hoping to start adding Halloween and Christmas items...can you believe it is almost that time of year - ALREADY? Seems like just the other day it was becoming spring and now we are almost into autumn - where has this year gone?

I'm thinking Halloween...

Okay, it's only August and Halloween is still a couple of months away, BUT....I've committed to writing two articles about Halloween and I'm getting in the mood for pumpkins and hayrides and ghosts...Oh My!

I LOVE Halloween and always have. To me - it's all about dressing up, spooky stories and picking out the perfect pumpkin.

Last year I didn't get to decorate - had to work - and was basically just a very unhappy camper. This year - I want to be home for it. I want to stay up and see the GHOST HUNTER all-nighter and listen to scary music and watch an afternoon of cheesy movies like THE BLOB and ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES....

What about you? What do you do to celebrate the day or if Halloween a non-event for you? If you do like Halloween --- share your favorite thing to do, movie to watch, or what you like to dress up as! I've got to get the creative juices flowing for the article and staying in the mood is a great way to get them going! :-)

Contemplating the word...friendship...

We all have times in our lives where we get too busy to keep up our normal routines.

Emails go unanswered, phone calls don't get returned, plans get cancelled.

But....when you keep getting put to the bottom of the priority list...is there a point where you just need to write this person off?

From my side of things - I know there are times when I haven't been the best friend myself. Crisis here...crisis there...and the last thing I want is to have to listen to someone else tell me about their problems....

But....what if you NEED the person to be there to listen and their just not?

They cancel lunch plans and don't give you any reason. The phone calls you have with them become abrupt one minute (or less) conversations where they cut you off mid-sentence.

Is their life really THAT hectic, or are you just not getting what is really going on???

I think I already know the answer to this --- but it's hard to get that pair of scissors out and just cut this person out of my life.

I LIKE this person. When we are together - we always have a great time.

But....I needed them last week and they weren't there for me.

Instead...A one sentence email that said they were cancelling lunch plans and that is the last I've heard from them.

Life goes on I guess....but it will be a little sadder without them in it....

EBay, Lynn Dralle and Inkfrog

Today was what I consider my kick-off for amping my EBay business up.

I joined Lynn Dralle's Queens Court as my reward for such a crazy July with the Pet Sitting. I'm hoping...having her as my official cheerleader and mentor will get my sales up to where I want them to be.

Anyway....was aiming for TWENTY listings, but got a late start - so my "plan B" was 10 and I did make that goal...well...sort of....I have to take pictures tomorrow, but I'm happy with my production and think its a good start.

I would have done more (maybe not 20), but Inkfrog got kind of ornery and I had to file a support ticket with them.
